Coconut Cake

A true classic, this coconut cake is sure to delight. Deliciously moist and packed with coconut flavor, it is perfect for any occasion.


  • 1 box yellow or white cake mix

  • 1 teaspoon coconut flavoring

  • 2/3 cups evaporated milk

  • 1/2 cups confectioner's sugar

  • 1 teaspoon coconut flavoring

  • Enough water to make 1- 1/2 cups of liquid

  • 1 (12 ounce) container of Cool Whip

  • 1 (9 ounce) bag of sweetened flake coconut

Make cake according to directions on package, adding 1 teaspoon coconut flavoring to batter. While cake is baking, mix evaporated milk, confectioner's sugar, 1 teaspoon coconut flavoring and water.

Remove cake from oven and poke holes all over cake. SLOWLY pour evaporated milk mixture over top of cake. Cool completely. Top with Cool Whip. Top with coconut. Refrigerate several hours.
